PSU Jobs

Public sector undertakings or PSUs are those corporations that are controlled and operated by the Government of India. These are also known as Public Sector Enterprises (PSE). The government holds 51% or more shares in the public sector owned by the Central Government or any State Government. Even if PSUs have partnerships with one or more states and central government, then the percentage of capital share will remain the same.

  • Maharatna,
  • Navaratna,
  • Miniratna

 

The public sector is the most preferred choice for management and engineering candidates. This is mainly because of a large number of opportunities and better working conditions. There are 300 PSUs in India spread across the country. For Engineers Gate is mandatory in most of these organizations while MBA/ CA vacancies are often advertised by these Govt operated companies.

 

The government believes in making public sector enterprises development-oriented and technically dynamic. Its policies provide greater powers to the Board so that public sector undertakings can work professionally. While there is a focus on surplus for self-sustaining growth, PSE generally does work for non-commercial responsibilities to pursue business objectives. Not all public sector undertakings can be considered for a variety of social activities at a level. This will have to identify the public sector undertakings whose financial status is capable of such activities, environmental measures, and MoA or statutory provisions and to implement social responsibility.
